I\’m not really one for the whole \’adoptable\’ scene within the art community. I always feel it\’s best to create your own characters so that you can get a good connection going with them.

There are always exceptions to this of course, and when a friend of mine was selling off some of her characters I couldn\’t resist asking how much this guy was.

His name is Zydrate – named after a drug from Repo! The Genetic Opera; a film that I still really enjoy even after writing my University dissertation about it!!

He\’s a demon/incubus character and I am looking forward to playing with him. I hope you\’ll all like him as well. It\’ll be fun evolving him from where he was left by his old owner and adapting him into my own \’vision\’ (which will mostly involve drawing pin-ups of him no doubt)

I did some gift art for him a few years ago when my friend owned him!

So it\’ll also be fun to see how he looks in my newer art style as this was originally drawn in 2010!
