I don\’t often put written posts with my daily doodles, but because this one looks a little different I thought I would say something about it. Hope you don\’t mind!

I didn\’t take that much away from my days at University studying Illustration – mostly because I was pursuing an art direction that I needed to do a drastic U-Turn from, but at the time I couldn\’t see it – but there was an exercise in the second year of the course where we had to find interesting characters in scribbles.

When I am feeling particularly blank or uninspired, I fall back on this technique and see when I can find in a simple pencil scribble. I find that it gives me ideas to advance and take onto a further stage of development. Like this one here, I can see some interesting elements that I might try and take a bit further, so be on the look out for that soon.
