Hey everyone.
It has been a good six months or so since I blogged.
I don\’t really have any excuses or reasons other than, I wasn\’t really \’feeling it.\’
But, after talking to Dave during our recent Horus Heresy outings, I realise I\’ve been missing putting my thoughts on books down on some sort of record.
So, this is a post to say, \’Hello, I am alive again\’
Not that I\’ve been inactive or not doing anything. Since last posting I have published 7 books of my own. A mixture of shorter stories/novellas and one larger book (which I still love)

Six of them pictured here – There\’s an Orc in my Court is the one I love (And it\’s related freebie ebook, Inked in Fire)
What I realised from writing all these books is that, what a surprise, romance isn\’t the genre for me! My favourite of these books, The Orc Court series, had less of a romantic plot, but more fantasy mystery elements to them amongst the smut. What didn\’t work about the book is that it\’s confused cross-genre. But, I love the main character, an orc called Sethraun, his influence from the Historical Fiction genre (read as: Sharpe) and the erratic shenanigans he gets up to – the same with Inked in Fire which has absolutely no romance in it! I\’d very much love to continue this series at some point. The second book was partly written when I realised that romance isn\’t for me, so I am in a quandary on how to go about continuing.
So, what does lay ahead? I\’d like to get back into book reviewing/blogging. But, on a bit of a different wave-length. I\’m kicking the smut in the head in terms of reviewing. They\’re fun reads and I enjoy them as \’easy\’ reads in between more \’serious\’ books. So, I\’ll only be posting reviews on Warhammer, Fantasy and Historical Fiction novels.
I\’d also like to try and get my hobby mojo going again, but that might be one step to far in terms of time – I\’ve been a real sucker for punishment and set up a Fantasy Pen Name and am attempting to write in the genre that I enjoy the most… Yikes!
What am I reading?

In an attempt to get my hobby love rekindled, I\’m reading Hallowed Ground by Richard Strachan – I freely admit, I dislike the tabletop game for Age of Sigmar, but I do like the models and the lore is growing on me the more I read.
And you know, I\’ve not changed so much that I have lost my love of Witch Hunters, so it fits in the whole grand scheme of things.
In closing, I look forward to re-connecting, seeing your posts again and getting back into the swing of blogging after such an extensive break from the whole thing.
As well as catching up on some book reviews – mostly the relevant Warhammer/Black Library titles that I\’ve read since I\’ve been away.

It’s been a lot of fun and a steep learning curve, but I can honestly say I am so proud of what I have achieved.
