Caw

\"\"

It\’s been a little while since I shared some hobby on here. Mostly because I\’ve not done anything to share. Hopefully, that will change here on out again!

Due to the release of Necromunda: Underhive Wars, I\’ve been a bit more enthusiastic to paint some of my Necromunda gang. Sadly, the video game didn\’t quite live up to our expectations so we\’ve gone back to playing Mordheim in the evenings instead.

This actually meant changing my gang of choice from Delaque to Cawdor. My first choice, Delaque, wasn\’t a good match for me and while they look really awesome I just couldn\’t get to grips with them.

The idea behind this was to pick up a smaller scale game. Something on a more personal level where each of the models can be a character in their own right and have an impact on the overall game with their expertise or incompetence. I was thinking we\’d pick up Kill Team, but somehow we ended up picking at Necromunda again.

This delightful chap is the first Champion of my Cawdor Gang. I\’ve made up two more models for the gang. The Leader and other Champion, who I am hoping to paint up all grubby like this guy in the near future.

I\’ll also rephotograph this guy at some point cause these look a bit blurred to me. Boo.

Wow! That painting looks terrific. Model is cool. I get the smaller scale, more connection to the model. Painting a gang is achievable. Armies draggggg… Nice work!

Thank you very much. I am happy has been well received.
I’m looking forward to playing and getting these crazy zealots under-way!
Armies are fun in their own right, but they take a lot longer to feel connected too (and paint.)

      Thanks for commenting.

Like the colours youve put on Jenn. I need to start getting into the boardgame side of WH, but there is so much in the way at the moment, sigh… What I’d give to be a kid again…

Thank you very much – it’s been a while since I did any paint slinging.
I know what you mean though, there’s so much I’d like to do as well, but time is always too short.
It’s always that catch-22, as a kid you can’t afford it but have the time. As an adult, you can afford it but never enough time!

Those pesky catch 22s! How are you getting on with Mechanicum? I am still under the 150 mark but with each page I am getting more and more into the story…

          Aren’t they a bitch!

I am around the 200 page mark and I’m actually enjoying it. So much more than I thought I would.
I really feel it helps to progress the HH. More so than some of the previous books.
          Good characters too.
Only complaint is I get a bit confused with some of the naming of the Titans/Places on Mars, etc, but that’s a small complaint in the grand scheme of things.

Have you got the paper back with the Dramatis Personea thingy in the front? If so you are a lot luckier than me… lol. Legio Mortis is the only one I know for sure featured in one of the first HH books. The rest are all new to me

            Thankfully, I do.
I refer to it often and it has helped.
I recall Legio Mortis as well, but I’ve found there are things mentioned that help bring it all full-circle a bit too.
I’m hoping the rest of the book keeps on adding and helps to advance the overall plot.

      Thanks a lot. 😀
This model is made from the basic Cawdor Gang pack from GW, apart from the head. That’s from ye-olde-bits-box.
(We think it’s either Empire Militia or Bretonnian Men-at-Arms.)
